After spending over 15 years working in the food manufacturing industry and achieving the top quality award from Britvic for our factory in Huddersfield I decided to have a change of life style. Our factory was a new aquisition by Britvic and small compared to their other 6 sites, however we were all incredibly proud to win the overall factory quality award in our first year in the competition in 2006. As Quality Manager for the factory it was a high point for me and a perfect time to move on.

I decided to do some volunteering and so my husband and I trained to teach English abroad and set off to Sri Lanka to the Tsunami affected coast. Here we stayed for 3 months and spent mornings on a building site constructing new homes and the afternoons teaching local children and their mothers English. A truely rewarding trip.

I then decided to come back to my initial passion of food safety and quality and have set up my own consultancy business to offer my services to the industry.

I am getting great satisfaction from helping new and established businesses benefit from my technical expertise to enable them to have confidence in their product and their facility by improving levels of food safety, hygiene and quality and gaining that all important BRC Certification.
